Pros: Big pieces makes it easier for little hands to handle.
Cons: Glue isn't included to make it hang up on the wall like on the box.
The Bottom Line: You can glue the puzzle together and hang it up in your childs room. Where else can you get a 3 foot Sulley for 9 bucks?

My 5 year old son has really shown an interest in doing puzzles lately. He could sit here all day and do every puzzle in the house that range from 24 pieces to 100 pieces. So for his birthday it was no surprise that he received the Monsters, Inc. Kid Sized Puzzle. This puzzle only has 36 pieces in it but they are not your typical puzzle pieces, Each piece measures about 3 inches wide and high and each piece is thicker than your typical puzzle pieces. In other words, it will take some time before the cardboard starts to peel off from the back of the puzzle piece. Since the pieces are so big, it is easier to see where the pieces fit in than it is for other puzzles.
The Monsters, Inc. puzzle features a 3 foot tall Sulley and a foot tall Mike. The puzzle is not just a plain square puzzle either, it is actually in the shape of Sulley and Mike just stands in front of Sully.
The colors of the puzzle are very bright and true to the colors of Mike and Sulley from the movie. Other puzzles we have, the colors seem to be more dull than what the true colors of the characters actually are.
My son has a 2 foot piece of thick cardboard that he uses for his puzzles since it's very hard to put puzzles together on a carpeted floor. Since the Monsters, Inc. puzzle is too big for his cardboard, I thought he was going to have a problem putting it together on the carpet. Surprisingly, the puzzle was able to be put together on the carpet and actually stayed together until he tried to pick it up by Sulleys head and hang it up on a wall.
Unless you or your child are really into puzzles, you probably won't find this next tid bit of information important at all. But, the box that the puzzle comes in is very thick which means you won't have to worry about the corners wearing out and having puzzle pieces falling out everywhere, resulting in lost pieces, which means having one upset kid who spent 3 hours putting together a puzzle only to find out that it can't be finished when he got to the end because 1 or 2 pieces fell out and are lost due to the box being so cheap.
The picture on the box shows a child holding the puzzle up next to him, making Sulley just as big as the kid and another picture shows the puzzle being hung up on a wall. My son tried to pick the puzzle up like so the first time he completed it and it fell apart. He didn't know that you have to glue it first before picking it up like the kid on the box. When he does decide that he no longer wants to put the puzzle together anymore, we will glue it and hang it up in his room. The puzzle will make a great picture hanging up on the wall.
Each time my son completes the puzzle, it only takes him about 15 minutes to finish. Each time his finishes the puzzle he gets all excited and is very proud to show off his work.
I would highly recommend the Monsters, Inc. Kid Sized Puzzle for kids adored the movie and enjoy doing puzzles. Since the pieces are so big and Sully is life size compared to young kids, this would even make a great 1st puzzle to get children into puzzles.
The box recommends the puzzle for kids ages 3 - 6 years old.
