Pros:Power, quality, durability, locking side handle, and a comfortable grip.
Cons:The fixed power cord is difficult to replace.
The Bottom Line: For anyone who is doing professional work, the quality is unsurpassed. Milwaukee is not my choice for cordless drills, but for a plug in power drill they are the best.
The power, quality, and durability of this drill is unsurpassed in my experience working with power drills. It features a heavy-duty keyed chuck that holds the bit very securely, which is a problem for many power drills on the market. It can be very annoying and time consuming to stop drilling to re-tighten a chuck that has loosened up. The Milwaukee never has that problem. A powerful 8 amp motor, 0-850 RPM, variable speed control, all metal gear case, 8 ft. rubber cord, 360 degrees locking side handle, and a comfortable grip make this one of my favorite drills to work with. Milwaukee makes the same model drill with a "quik-lok cord" which is preferable if you have to replace the power cord. The "quik-lok cord" twists on and off in a matter of seconds. This is a great feature as opposed to opening the drill housing to replace a fixed in place cord. The best feature of Milwaukee drills is the durability. I own three Milwaukee drills, an older one I purchased over 10 years ago still works even though it has been through a series of mishaps. The most notable was when a co-worker was using the drill on a 3 story scaffold inside a brick warehouse. The drill fell off the platform and smashed against the brick wall, then ricocheted into the metal scaffolding, all the while suspended in air because of the extension cord it was plugged into which was still supported by the scaffolding. Before anyone could get to the drill, the knot holding the drill cord and the extension cord together loosened up and the Milwaukee fell to the concrete floor of the warehouse with a loud bang. Miraculously other then a crack on the red case of the drill, and a few scratch marks, the drill worked perfectly when we plugged it in, and it still works today! Would I recommend Milwaukee, absolutely!
