I don't wear a lot of makeup but a friend had highly recommended Bare Minerals. I had complimented her because I thought her complexion looked really nice, so I decided to give it a try.

I found my container of Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil at Sephora. Over the years, I have tried several different kinds of compact powder (as my Grandma used to call it) and liquid makeup, for my face. There are times when you definitely want a polished, even look for your skin. Some women prefer to wear makeup daily and others, just on occasion. Depending on your type of skin, oil, dry or in-between, this may just be the best makeup I have found.

This Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil makeup feels quite light and the coverage is excellent. If you have a blemish or dry patch or even dark spots or freckles, this is also helpful at concealing imperfections. It is slightly more expensive, but not a lot more because this makeup is long lasting and you actually use very little powder each time you use it. Mineral Veil is a lovely product that I am very happy with. It is light and helps my skin look even. I use it mostly when I go to work or go out for a special "occasion". I feel that it gives my skin a better look, more polished and even more healthy. 

#42941 is the shade I bought and is a great match for my complexion.

I even like the attractive and compact little container. The small plastic container is clear, so you can see the powder. It has a black screw on-off lid. When I'm in a hurry, I have even used my fingertip when applying this lovely powder to my nose. It works like a charm in a pinch. Otherwise, it's a good idea to use a good brush. It absorbs any excess oil, so I can apply my foundation immediately, if I choose to (or not).

It also helps when I need extra coverage, to cover any redness which I sometimes have with my eczema. This also does not irritate my skin at all. It keeps your complexion looking very natural too and not cakey. It really makes the pores invisible. It gives a polished look to your skin, but never looks artificial.

There are instructions to use a good brush when applying this makeup and to use a swirling motion, tapping off the excess powder before application. It takes a little bit of practice so you don't use too much, but don't give up. You'll be happy with the look you get.

There are no parabens, wax, synthetic dyes or synthetic fragrances or binders in this product. I have heard conflicting reports that this is to be used in conjunction with other foundation makeup, but I find that it is fine just alone.

It does not clog pores and provides SPF protection too.
