This is not a good camera for beginners. The auto exposure does a poor job in daylight pictures with bright sunlight and open space.
My old camera, an "el-cheapo" 110 film thing was easier with light levels than the E201. Beginners like me (this was my first digital cam) found that getting decent photos either meant adjusting the exposure compensation for almost every shot, or photoshopping dim, muddy images later.
