The Bottom Line: In spite of the light rust spots on the steak knives I still give this product a good rating. Sharp blades and easy to use!!

| professor_x's Full Review: Miracle Blade Perfection Series Knives |
OK, my wife bought these, after numerous lazy weekend afternoons watching Chef Tony work his magic with them. We both cook a lot, so it was hard to resist. We needed new knives anyway, and these seemed like a pretty good deal.
We have a joke around the house, "They call them the miracle blades because it's a miracle if you don't cut your fingers off!" That's how sharp they are. I think the infomercial is 100% accurate with regard to the sharpness of these knives. And unlike some other reviewer(s) I have never noticed any deterioration in the level of razor sharpness.
The only problem was, after a few weeks we noticed the small steak knives were developing rust spots! Now, these are supposed to be stainless steel, which should not ever rust. So, figuring we got a bad batch that wasn't tempered properly, my wife called the company and they promptly shipped us an entire replacement set at no cost!! Not just the ones that were rusting, but an entire set! It took several weeks to arrive but I was quite impressed that they went to this length to try and correct the situation.
Unfortunately, the small steak knives in the new set rusted as well. I guess there is something wrong with their manufacturing process. I should be able to leave stainless steel knives in my sink for several hours before they go into the dishwasher without rust spots developing, right?
Anyway, no big deal, we still use them on a daily basis. And most of the knives in the set are fine, it is only the steak knives that rusted. And they aren't covered with rust or anything, it is just some minor rust spots of a very thin/light consistency if that makes any sense...
The "rock and chop" is a really cool knife for your big vegetables and the "chop & scoop" works just like on the infomercial. The large bread knives are fantastic and give a very clean cut even on moist fluffy breads and cakes. But again, with all of these knives, watch your fingers!! Don't attempt to "rock and chop" as fast as you see Chef Tony do it, or you may have problems counting to ten in the future.
Overall, I feel the knives are an OK value, just WATCH YOUR FINGERS!! One false move and you may have to go to the emergency room! (And I'm not kidding about that! Can you tell I've had a couple close calls?!?)
