Rated a Helpful Review by the Epinions community
Pros:Quinn Thompson, Maggie Dartman, Jack Adams, Alex
Cons:The storm that almost tore Quinn's 180 foot yacht to pieces.
The Bottom Line: All the pieces are in the right place in this novel.  If you love ROMANCE....you will love this novel.

In Danielle Steel's novel, "Miracle", she took me on a journey through the affects of a New Year's Storm on homes while introducing me to Quinn Thompson, a widower and successful businessman in his 60's; Maggie Dartman, the divorced teacher next door in her 40's and Jack Adams, a carpenter hired by Quinn in his 30's, and unable to read.  The location of the novel is North California.

I loved how she used the storm to bring these three together as friends in the beginning.  She does a wonderful job of using Jack as a catalyst in bringing Quinn and Maggie together.  Quinn had hired Jack for the repairs on his home.  In his spare time, Jack was helping Maggie with the storm damages on her home, too.  She had me enjoying the friendship between these three.  She has Quinn taking Maggie out sailing often thus begins a beautiful romance.

I really enjoyed the way Quinn and Maggie both enjoyed sailing and the way their romance blossomed as a result.  It was neat experiencing with Quinn and Maggie the building of his 180 foot yacht.  Will Quinn and Maggie be an item in the end, or will Quinn's desire to be alone on a 180 foot yacht leave them adrift?

Our author does a beautiful job of keeping my interest from beginning to start in this novel.  She developed her characters very well and kept me online with the novel from start to finish.  I really didn’t have any foul feelings about this novel while reading it.  Well, maybe Quinn’s one sidedness to sailing versus love.  However, that was easily squashed when later on she would bring Maggie back into the picture.

As in all of her novels, our author adds a twist of tragedy, loss before romance and love.  She does a wonderful job of developing all the characters and location of the novel.

I felt as if I was experiencing the same things as her characters.  How do you suppose she mended the love between Quinn and his daughter, Alex?

Hopefully, I have given you enough to peak your interest in this book.  I totally recommend this novel.  It gets a 5 star from me.
