Pros: light and stiff
Cons: some people don`t like stiff skates
I really liked these skates, not many hockey players wear missions because they don?t want to change from there old skates like Bauer or Graff, Ccm also. All I used to wear was Bauer, then missions came out and I decided to try them out, so I bought a pair. It takes a while to get used to them but after that time you notice the difference. The little gray bar underneath of them is for more balance .At that time I had amp 8`s and I really liked those so when they got small I got the amp 5`s for 350$ and form the first puck drop I noticed I could move my feet faster and with less muscle work. What also really helped was the fact that they have a thermal fit which is another plus.
These skates have many little things that make them better then others and one is that they have laser cut blades which are stainless steel that makes them stay sharp longer and there more resistant then other blades and they don?t rust. These are obviously not for everybody because they are stiffer than ordinary, which eliminates the pain of getting a puck in the ankle and also snapping your ankle. The stiffness posses a problem also it restrains you from moving your ankle that well.
Although the blades aren?t Tukk they are still very good in fact some players like Anson Carter just have a mission blade with the boot of another skate. Mission also makes other hockey equipment like gloves, sticks, shoulder pads etc. I can?t really say too much more about there skates except that I think they are the best skates money can buy but others won?t agree. Other mission skates include: mission flyweights, mission amp 3, mission amp 4, mission amp 7 and mission amp 8 for all you girl hockey players out there their are mission amp 3 Betty?s which are actually lighter then mission flyweights.
I hope I have influenced your purchase on hockey skates and that you buy Missions.
