| darkbreeze's Full Review: Mississippi Mud Black & Tan 1 Quart |
It's awfully hard to tell you something about this beer that hasn't already been said here. So in light of improving it's image I must agree that Mississippi Mud is actually one of the tastiest beers I've had the pleasure of slurping down my parched throat. My throat's always parched. At least without a beverage in my hand. The taste is something difficult to describe to the average beer drinker.
The more refined tastes will recognize the combination of pilsner and porter but will delight in the fact that neither really outweighs the other. This beer is, (In my opinion, which obviously some of you do not agree with.) an aromatic, tasty little sucker that just begs you to finish the one you're working on and crack a fresh one.
One particular note, it goes extremely well with beef. Especially steak cooked with roasted garlic. The sweet, dark taste and the medium texture of Mississippi Mud compliment the beef and garlic combination in a way that will remind you of fish and White Zinfandel. MM has become my #1 beer when not at the bar.
