I received this telephone as a gift from a family friend because she had gotten a new cellular phone. This phone, unfortunately, is no longer in production - but let me tell you - it's fantastic.
I use Voicestream Wireless, a company which I believe is the best. I signed up with them when they were first Aerial Communications. Aerial offered customers "true per-second" billing. This wonderful feature died with Voicestream's take-over, but they still over exceptional service.
My telephone has massive storage for names and numbers! I can recharge this phone in about 1 hour! Also, since the company no longer makes my phone any longer, they told me if I had a problem with the phone - just send it to them and they would either repair it or send me a new one for free! The ringer broke on my telephone and so I tried sending it to Voicestream. Sure enough, a new phone, charger, and battery were sent to me! The phone has about 10 different ring tones (enough for me) and is very loud - so I can hear it ring. It has silent mode for movie theaters and other quiet public places.
Mitsubishi sure does make a clear telephone! Even when I'm driving with the windows down, I can hear the other person very clearly! My father even claims that my phone is clearer than his Nokia! Of course, he has AT&T, so that may have something to do with it. My reception goes very far - only cuts out in extremely rural areas.
Aerial only charges me 19.95 for 100 minutes of per-second billing. That factors out to be about 450 mins. saved a month! Since most of my calls are less than one minute. I got 6 months of free long distance - 6 months of free weekends (4.95 after 6 months) and also free voicemail, paging, caller ID, two lines, ect. ect.
I love Voicestream, and I love my phone. I would recommend this telephone to anyone who needs a good phone and a good plan!
