Pros:Largest screen for the money, 1080p, color settings are great, small footprint
Cons:Not mountable
The Bottom Line: If you are looking in this size range, it is a great option that won't break your bank account. The picture is stunning and you will not be disappointed.

I bought my WD-73833 DLP TV and have been extremely happy with the purchase!

#1) It’s a huge screen for a relatively small footprint. The bezel and framing are sturdy but narrow, giving you a nice clean “screen only” feel.
#2) The picture is stunning in HD. The colors on this TV are sharp and bright, even with a lower brightness setting to preserve bulb life.
#3) The sound quality is as good as most, but spend some of the money you are saving on a nice home theater system for surround sound.
#4) Improvements in the DLP technology have eliminated the “rainbow effect” for almost all users. I used to see rainbows on the original DLP units but I haven’t seen one since I bought this television.

I have a Blu-ray player hooked up to this with surround sound and it’s literally like sitting in a movie theater. The picture is so life-like you duck and cover during action scenes.

This is not a flat panel television. It is not mountable and sits about 20” deep on a TV stand. If you are looking for the largest TV for the lowest price without sacrificing picture quality, I think this is in the top three choices. It’s pretty light for it’s size and I’ve been able to move it around with one helper with no problems.

The only drawback I see is not inherent to this tv, but rather large screen tv’s in general. SD programming looks pretty bad. The signal compression shows as graininess and you see any imperfections inherent in the signal. You need to be watching HD programming to enjoy watching your regular shows, which shouldn’t be a problem come February when all programming will need to be in HD. Until then, I suffer through shows in standard definition.

I almost forgot to mention video games. I have an Xbox 360 and PS3 and both play and look amazing on this giant screen!
