My youngest had a Mobi Glow Tykelight for several years, one that had to be charged via a charger in an outlet, well it finally croaked do to having a short in the wiring. I really didn't plan on replacing it until my youngest said she really needs a nightlight in her room. It had just happened so I had come across a Mobi Glow Mate Jr. over at Walgreens several weeks ago so we went by and picked it up. Turns out the timing was perfect, it was marked down to $9.99 from $14.99.

What I like about these types of lights is that you don't have to plug it in, so you could put it on the bed, or walk down the hall with it if you needed to. This particular style uses 3 AAA batteries which came with it, and I think this style works better than the unit that you charge, because you can just change the batteries yourself. Also this little thing doesn't get hot to the touch at all.
This little thing is shaped like a little man, with a rounded head as well as arms. It's a white color when turned off, and it's about 5 or 6 inches tall, and there are no sharp edges on it. The batteries go in a screw in compartment on the bottom. On this particular one you can set the color to red, green, or blue, or have it cycle to where it changes colors. You can also set a timer on this (when there is a red indicator light on right by the power button it's on) to fade off in 15 minutes.
They claim that this LED light lasts for 12 years (hopefully I won't need a nightlight that long!) and that this is energy efficient and is heat free when it burns. The battery life has been pretty good on this also.
This is a great night light. I like that it's portable and it's also neat that you can choose whatever color you want on this and the color changing cycle is neat also. I don't have one complaint about this thing and I would highly recommend it.
