As a child, I loved playing with Play-Doh. But, unfortunately, along with the fun comes the mess! While working at a daycare this summer, I found a product that works just as well as Play-Doh, but without the sticky mess.
Crayola Model Magic modeling clay is amazing. It is intended to be used as modeling clay, but works great as a substitute for Play-Doh. This product is amazing. You could play with it for hours without any sticking on your hands. You don't even have to wash your hands when you are done. It's great. It still works like Play-Doh in that it is very flexible. In fact, we use the Play-Doh brand tools while working with it.
One drawback is that it is not available in very many colors. I have only seen it come in a few colors. Mostly, it comes in red, white, and blue.
Another drawback is that it is more expensive than Play-Doh. I think it usually costs around $3 to $4 per package, but it is well worth the cost!
For those parents who don't like messes, this is the product for you! Your child can still practice fine-motor skills and stretch their imagination without creating a huge mess!
