Pros: The price, cleanliness, location, cafe
Cons: Check in times were not flexible. The location is a little off strip.
The Bottom Line: This is a good value motel for anyone who is on a budget and want to spend their money elsewhere on the strip.

| trina_p's Full Review: Motel 6 Las Vegas-Tropicana |
My husband and I stayed for two nights the first week of Sept. 06. It was not our first choice, but it will be from now on in Vegas. We were at Circus Circus, but left (another whole review).
We were in a bind due to the fact that we had to find another hotel immediately. We were happy to know there was a handicap accessible room available and the price sounded good. ($59.95/ night).
We had to leave Circus Circus by 11am and Motel 6 would not allow us to check in until 3pm. We had to sit in the lobby for about 3 hours with all our luggage in tote. Since both my husband and myself are in wheelchairs, going anywhere with the luggage was out of the question so all we could do was wait. And wait. And wait... I hear other travelers saying they were able to check in their luggage and be on their way having fun. But not here. I guess that might be one of the downsides to an inexpensive hotel.
Once we did get into the room, we were pleasantly surprised. It was basic with one Queen size bed, nightstand, lamp and television with cable. The room was very clean and smelled clean as well.
The bathroom was great! For wheelchair users, this can be a real issue. There was plenty enough room for even my husband's power wheelchair to move around. Both of us were easily able to get ready in the bathroom at the same time. Not many bathrooms will allow two wheelchairs at once.
The roll-in shower also had a drop down shower chair.
The amenities were scarce but we expect that ahead of time. There was shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Plenty of towels and wash cloths. They were replaced daily as needed.
The staff was pleasant even though we had the check-in issues. They were happy to assist every time we called with a question.
There is an on-site convenience store which carries most any items you may have forgotten. There is a limited selection of food, drink etc. Just basic convenience store but very handy right on the property.
A small cafe is located within the property which we ate breakfast at both mornings. The service was very quick. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We both had a breakfast special and came out under $15 for both our meals. The food was delivered promptly, fresh and hot. Everything was cooked as we had ordered it. Seeing and hearing about the prices of food on the strip, we were happy to have found this little hidden gem for food.
Many people will look down on this place because it is a Motel 6 among all the lavish hotels on the Strip. We could not have asked for a better motel with just the things we needed.
Although this property is not technically "On The Strip", I can say for certain it was much faster to get onto the strip than in the large hotel we were in at first. With the larger hotels, you have to go through a long carpeted hall, wait on the elevator to arrive, let everyone on and off for the many floors you go down, Then wind through another busy crowded lobby to finally make your way to the door to the outside.
With the Motel 6, all we had to do was open our front door and make our way down a short side street and we were on the Strip.
