Pros: does everything it claims to do and more, and does it very well
Cons: attracts dust like a magnet when wet, but so does everything else that's wet.
The Bottom Line: Absolutely recommended, this stuff is worth about 5 times what you pay for it, at least.

| daisuke69's Full Review: Mothers Back To Black |
Mother's back to black could be called Snake Oil, and in fact it is... and it works, very very well.
I bought this stuff to fix up the black plastic shrouds of the side view mirrors on my (now destroyed) thunderbird, the results of which were no less than miraculous, the plastic had been sun-burnt into a dark gray-ish color, and the first application of B-to-B turned it an immediate lustrous black, there were some white knicks in the plastic and those disappeared instantly, there was also some more serious scraping on the sides which had turned a dead white over time. Although these did not turn completely black on the first application, the did after about 3 times using the stuff.
I have used it on many surfaces including plastic, rubber trimming and paint (they don't have to be black, this stuff is also an effective color enhancer. Someone said in another review that the surfaces have to have a flat finish. I've discovered that it CAN be used on gloss surfaces, to do so you must apply it very liberally so that when you rub it on it leaves wet streak marks and looks like it's still wet, just leave it that way and let it dry. If left in this wet state it won't actually dry for about a week (that is if you used enough of it) and it's a dust magnet, you'll have to put up with the dust until the next time you wash your car, at that time the dust will come off and you can buff the stuff. it will leave a deep glossy finish (and you will be able to see it streaking a bit still when you do it). The treated area will take a bit of care to keep clean, but the color effect is simply amazing. I am currently trying it on my paint to see what it will do to it there, see the comments section to know how it went.
The product does take a little trial-and-error to learn to apply correctly, but you can't mess anything up when doing so.
I recommend you apply this stuff to your car no matter how old it is, it will look better than when it was brand new, this product alone is enough to give you blind faith in Mother's products and I am a loyal customer myself.
