If your car is beyond your daily transportation, then it is without a doubt that the appearance of your vehicle is worth your time and effort to reverse aging and the elements. The exterior of your car, a color that you made by choice (hopefully), and selected from a myriad of options that your dealer offered you is the first way to show off its beauty.
It should not be a mystery to you that over time that original shine and luster once the envy of friends and family may now be just another paint code. On the other hand, your car might be one of the lucky ones spending its time in a garage and cruising only on the most of perfect days. In either case, the exterior color that you selected can be given a revitalization and bring it back to the glory days of that day the showroom released it to you.
Mothers California Gold Clay Bar is a procedure to invigorate that aged paint or for that new car a way to remove some minor imperfections inherent of all paint. For that vehicle that has been on the road and seemingly being abused by the elements, being parked near roadways or railroads, washed with mechanical brushes or harsh cleaners, it is time. For that new car that you continue to enjoy the interior aroma only equal to puppy breath, it is time as well.
Mothers California Clay Bar is a process that comes complete in one box. Included you will be supplied with a Clay Bar and sixteen ounces of Showtime Instant Detailer and a brief instruction pamphlet. You should expect for this procedure to take less than a few hours on an average size car depending on the current condition of your paint. The contents described above should be enough to complete three average sized vehicles. The Clay Bar itself is not playdough and is specially formulated to shear the surface of your paint and remove contaminants. The Showtime Instant Detailer is a critical part of this procedure as when you apply a liberal amount on your paint it acts as the lubricant to allow the clay to glide and do its job.
The process is quite simple, which assumes that the vehicle has been cleaned and dry. After removing the Clay Bar from its sealed container you will find it to be tacky yet pliable. A word of caution, should you drop the clay bar at any time you should not use it on your vehicle and it should be discarded. This should be most obvious as if the clay bar picks up containments from the ground you should assume that the same would be causing damage to your paint. With the clay bar in one hand, you simply spray your vehicle with the Showtime detailer covering not more than two square feet of surface and then using light pressure move the clay bar back and forth. As you feel and or hear the clay bar removing these contaminants you should lightly rub your hand along the surface to see if any imperfections were left behind. You can continue working the same area so long as you constantly keep the paint lubricated with the detailer. Any remaining detailer left behind should be wiped off with a soft, dry cloth. Prior to moving to the next section, roll the clay into a ball and knead it flat to ensure that you are always using the clean surface of the clay. Once again, should this clay slip from your hands do not use it on your vehicle. While the contents should perform nicely for three average sized cars you will need to take precaution placing the clay bar in a air tight container awaiting its next performance.
In the end, if done correctly the remnants of airborne metal particles and brake dust along with Mother Nature’s offerings will have all been removed and your paint looking better than the day it was first painted. If you really want to be amazed, after doing a small section, slide a soft cloth over the area just completed as compared to an area not yet done, I promise you will feel and see the difference. While I do not claim to be a paint expert, it seems obvious to me that new paint should be allowed to fully cure for at least six months before using this process. The Clay Bar process is safe for all colors of paint and will not damage your clearcoat finish. You should note, while this procedure has removed all the imperfections on your paint it has also removed all the wax protecting the paint, so don’t forget to reapply your favorite wax.
New car, old car if you enjoy the look of your vehicle and want your paint to be brought to its full potential and extend the life of your paint, then Mothers California Gold Clay Bar is exactly the prescription needed. It should be noted that this process does not require any expert knowledge, just some time and elbow grease.
