| teamsporttrac's Full Review: Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish |
The main reason I bought this polish was for the Aluminum wheels on my Explorer. The polish works wonders on these, so I began experimenting with other metals around the house to see if I could revitalize the shine around there too. Come to find out, the polish also works well on brass, nickle, copper, and pretty much anything else that shines!
The polish is of a paste consistency and I usually apply it with a terry cloth. You don't have to rub it in too hard, it almost seems to remove the grime on its own. I apply it thoroughly over the surface, then let it sit for 10-15 minutes (not in the sun though - if you do, it will be difficult to remove).
I buff the polish off with a cotton cloth. The polish is generally pretty easy to wipe off (it depends on how much you use). By the way, a little of this polish goes a long way.
The only thing I could ask for from this polish is that it were a spray. I often wash my Explorer without polishing the wheels because it takes so much time (10-15 mins per wheel).
This is definitely not as easy as a spray, but if you have time to put-in the effort, it is well worth it.
For kicks, find an old quarter and apply this polish to it ... the results are awesome!
