Cons:Slows broadband speeds.
Frequently drops wireless connections to devices.
Motorola Customer Support denies device problems.
The Bottom Line: Do not waste your money. Buy a separate cable modem and router to maximize your broadband.
Against my better judgement, I purchased this two in one Cable Modem hoping to save a little money by not having to buy two devices. I found this device to be problematic. It's doing too many things to be reliable and I was unable to take advantage of my 50Mbit broadband. Most of the time I didn't even get half of that with this modem. I had my cable company out to my house twice during this four month period. They re-ran lines and tested my connectivity and couldn't find any problems. I spoke to Motorola customer support who said there was nothing wrong with the device. I still took it back to the store and swapped it for another one. No change. I thought it was just another Cox Cable nightmare until i finally decided to try what other owners of this device on the web had done, putting it into bridge mode and buying a separate wireless router to handle all the routing. Well that did the trick. My speeds skyrockted and I am finally able to see those 50Mbit speeds I have been paying for. I would recommend against buying this device. It only delivers slow speeds and headaches. Buy a cable modem AND a separate router.
