jamiebionic's Full Review: Motorola MA351 2.4 GHz 1-Line Cordless Phone
Return 1:
I bought this phone twice from Fry's and it is a piece of crap. The first phone I bought cut in and out on the receiver. On my first and only call, I tried to order pizza. I couldn't hear the cashier as the volume faded back and forth from quiet to really quiet. I kept asking the guy to repeat himself. I was so embarrassed and returned the phone immediately!
Return 2:
The second phone I tried to charge the battery but to my disappointment the base couldn't read the phone at all. It was completely dead.
Return 3:
Furthermore, I found the newest Motorola in the series: the 2.4 GHz MA 355 in an awesome iridescent blue/purple at Target. I began charging it today only to find the receiver off yet hissing at me. It makes a hissing noise like a snake like the receiver is on but it isn't. It isn't even fully charged!
I originally bought this portable phone because my parents have an older model that's about 2 years old or more. They have a 5400 square foot house. They centralize this phone in the kitchen and it has the best reception out of any Panasonic, Sony, Uniden or Motorola phone we've ever used. We've been buying portable phones since they came out, especially with a huge house with up to 8 inhabitants at a time. I've even used Motorolla pagers and have one of their cell phones which is excellent.
I bought 3 versions of this phone in a row and all I get is 4 trips back to the store to exchange it. Is this all really worth the great reception?
