I bought this after purchasing (and returning) a Jawbone II, which I found to be awful.
My goal was to find a Blue tooth headset that had decent sound quality. I understand that it won't be as good as the phone mic but I don't want people saying "what" every 3 seconds either. With those as my goals, this met them.
Appearance The headset is small and looks sharp. It's not as good-looking as the Jawbone II but it also doesn't look like a praying mantis crawling out of your ear. The packaging says it's "diamond cut"...whatever marketing mumbo jumbo that is. I'll just say it looks like a piece of high end electronics.
Functionality Incoming sound quality is good. I haven't had any problems hearing people. In loud environments, the volume is easy to adjust though the volume increase is at the back of the unit, and volume increase at the front. Seems illogical.
Outgoing sound is not as good as the built-in mic but it's good enough that most people don't realize I'm on it. I've used it in loud environs and there's plenty of bleed-through so I'm not sure how well the noise reduction works. It doesn't pick up background chatter but it will pick up a bus passing by.
The single-button control is easy to use.
Fit Meh. This is the worst part. The Jawbone II fit like a glove. The earpiece isn't comfy in my ear, even with each of the 3 sizes that come in the box. The ear clip is small and works with glasses but is not adjustable and strikes me as cheap and easily breakable. Plus, it's made from uncoated plastic that scratches my ear. (Must not be diamond cut).
