darogers's Full Review: Motorola CFLN6203AA Bluetooth Headset
I've had the Motorola S9 headphones for a couple months now. I use them with my 3G iPhone. I use them once or twice a day for about an hour a day. When I bought my S9 the cost was down to less than $50. I consider $50 a fair price for Bluetooth headphones and the passive noise cancellation makes it worth twice as much. They're not the most comfortable headphones I've owned, but they're okay for an hour at a time. I use them primarily when I run and they handle the sweat better than some of my wired headphones. Plus you get rid of those annoying headphones that always seem to get tangled, snag, and restrict head movement.
Most of the features work like they're supposed to. With a simple touch you can adjust the volume of the music, answer phone calls, and stop/play the music. I've handled several phone calls and the quality has been excellent. Because of the way the ear buds set in your ear, they block out a lot of extraneous noise. It's really helpful if you're driving on the highway. Battery life is also pretty decent. I get about 3-5 hours of continuous use before they cutout.
Unfortunately, the "skip forward" and "skip back" buttons do not work. This seems to be a compatibility issue with the iPhone and not a problem with the headphones. If you're a music fanatic you should probably consider other products. Motorola makes good wireless technology, but they need to spend more R&D on the speaker quality. Music has very little bass phone calls sound a little hollow.
When you wear the headphones they set over your ears and the transmitter rests comfortably around the back of your head. I've had interruptions when the transmitter has shifted and made contact with my head. Also, if the phone is loading a program or bogged down, the music gets really choppy. This seems to be a Bluetooth problem, since it doesn't happen with wired headphones.
Overall, these phones are pretty good, but there's still a lot to be desired. I certainly would not pay full price for these knowing what I know now. For running though I haven't found a better set.
