The first thing I thought when I got this phone was "it is SOOO small"
Now I say "it is SOOO fragile"
It worked well, until I had to use it more frequently. The auxiliary battery (looks like the space shuttle on a 747) clips on the back of it, and is supposed to fit while it is on the belt clip. Well, it sticks out so far that it becomes easy to whack it on things, and if you catch it on something, the entire phone is likely to jump right off the belt clip. Needless to say, this is not a very good design. And without the extra battery, the talk time is somewhat pathetic.
The keys on the phone are flush with the face as well, so it is very difficult, if not impossible, to work the phone without looking at the buttons, something i find incredibly annoying.
Aside from functional problems, the clamshell mechanism is apparently notorious for causing electrical problems. Mine got so bad that the phone would lose power intermittently. I was told that this was a common problem, and then my phone was returned the factory for weeks. I should have known because I have had a few motorola cell phones which have given me nightmares. This one was the last straw.
I have replaced it with a nokia which I have dropped several times without incident.
