| thedannym's Full Review: Motorola V2260 Cell Phone |
|
The motorola v2260 is a cute little phone, but it isnt so little compared to newer models (v120) I am a student and I wanted a phone that was cheap and that I could carry around with me. This phone fit the bill. One thing that really impressed me was the durability of the phone. It may seem weak and flimsy but I have proved that wrong. I usually wore it at my waist on a belt clip and sometimes it would slip off. This in turn caused the phone to drop to the floor sometimes sliding across rooms. But it never stopped functioning and hardly recieved any scratches.
What I really liked about this phone was the interface. The side up down and enter buttons really make it easy to navigate the menu's with one hand. The menu's are somewhat complex but nothing anyone so inclined couldn't figure out.
Unfortunately in my experiences the cons outweigh the pros for this phone. The v2260 has 9 ringers and they are really nothing spectacular. The battery life is horrible! it uses two long ni-mh aaa batteries. I would charge the phone in the night and turn it on in the morning and by 3pm it was already on low battery mode. that is unacceptable. That was on analog because where I am located there is no digital yet. Im sure that on digital networks the battery life would be somewhat better. The phone is not very clear, I had multiple instances where The phoned showed one bar signal strength but when trying to place a call it would ring once and then just cut out and say call failed.
If you need a basic phone, dont care about flashy ringtones and are in a digital area, this phone may be for you.
