This cell phone has several other features besides being a phone. It has 1,900 MHz GSM voice calling digital data capability with WAP compliant internet access. It also has an FM radio. However, you can't converse on the telephone or use the internet access and listen to the radio at the same time. I do like this phone for the added features it has.
Other features of this phone include a phone book, 10 one touch numbers, and 11 different ring styles. It come with a rechargeable nickel hydride battery. Of course the calling plans vary when ordered from 200 minutes of digital talk time on up. The other buttons used to navigate are: Menu, OK, Clear, and up and down cursor keys. It has an LCD screen with 6 lines, 96 by 64 resolution, and 16 text characters which is the average for Internet phones.
When you want to listen to the radio, you press a single purpose button on the side and it works with a headset plugged into the phone. I like the radio feature: the jack sends out a stereo signal. The standard phone headset produces monaural sounds only. A radio alert signals you to calls coming in and SMS messages. When you press OK, the radio will turn off.
There are several controls with the radio. There are two buttons which adjust volume. Numbers 1 through 9 activate stations, and up and down moves through stations. Star and number keys can fine tune the FM single frequency in steps of .1 MHz. I like the sound quality of the radio- it is quite clear.
The phone works okay for phone calls, depending on the frequency calling area. I have used other cell phones and it compares favorably to other phones in this price range.
All the keys and functions work well.
The added radio feature is a good one for this cell phone. The radio works well and can be enjoyed when not using the phone.
