I pulled a muscle in my back the other day. It was so bad I could not sit, stand or even lay down with out a lot of pain. The pain went from my mid back all the way down my right leg. It was the worst way I have ever twisted a muscle. I have a thirteen month old daughter that demands most if not all of my attention.I had to find some thing that would help me.
The first day I tried tylenol extra strength and vicodin.Needless to say I was still hurting and still in too much pain to do any thing that I always do.
I was going to go to the emergency room but I do not have medical coverage and wanted to avoid a costly bill.I was willing to try any thing. I tried creams like icy-hot and ben gay. But still nothing worked. I moved on to hot packs and ice packs but still nothing.
Then I figured I would run out to Walgreens and see what the pharmisist recommends for me to use.I was shocked when he said to try Motrin IB.I took his advice and bought the Motrin IB 50 count USP 200 mg Coated Caplets.It cost my 6.29 plus tax.
I used it as soon as I got home.And about a half hour later the pain was not gone but had eased up a lot from what it had been.I still could not turn side to side.Yet I could stand and walk mostly up right again.I could lift my daughter with out being in so much pain.I could even make her bottle while holding her in the other arm.
So considering that the Motrin IB I used was not perscription strength, and was not for severe muscle strain I would have to say it has done a great job for me.If it were not for the Motrin Ib I would not have been able to move or even take care of my own baby.
The Motrin Ib lasted for about 3 hours with each pill I took. I did not take more then 1 at a time because most medicine makes me sick to my stomach and I have never used Motrin before this.

Minor pain of arthritis, the common cold, menstrual cramps, headache, toothache, and muscular aches.
Directions to use while taking:
If pain or fever does not respond to 1 caplet, 2 caplets may be used, but do not exceed 6 caplets in 24 hours, unless directed by your doctor.
The smallest dose that works should be used.And the Motrin IB should not be given to children under 12 years of age.
You need to take 1 caplet every 4 to 6 hours while symptoms persist or continue.
This medicine should be stored between 20-25 degrees C (68-77 degrees F)
If you have any kind of pain like this I would recommend you try Motrin Ib. Start with the smallest bottle like I did just to see if it works for you.
Active Ingredients are :
Ibuprofen in Each Caplet - 200 mg Ingredients
Corn Starch , FD&C Yellow No. 6 , Hypromellose , Iron Oxide , Polydextrose , Polyethylene Glycol , Silicon Dioxide , Stearic Acid , Titanium Dioxide
Warnings:
You may have allergy problems and here are the symptoms:
Asthma, wheezing, facial swelling, hives and shock.
If you drink more than 3 alcohol beverages in a day the Motrin IB could cause stomach bleeding. It is not recommended to drink while on the Motrin IB.
Ask a doctor before use if you have:
Problems or serious effects from taking pain relievers or fever reducers, or any kind of stomach pain, if you are under a doctors supervision for some thing serious, taking any other product that contains ibuprofen, if you are taking any other medications.
When using this product give with food or milk if stomach upset occurs.This will help to prevent stomach upset and digest the medication properly.
If pain gets worse or lasts more than 10 days or your fever gets worse or lasts more than 3 days stop taking the Motrin IB and go see your doctor.
If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. It may cause harm to your baby.
And last but not least do not use if neck wrap or foil inner seal imprinted Safety Seal is broken or missing.I am sure every one know that already but that is important.
Motrin IB worked for me as well as it could have since I was in so much pain. I had never even felt that much pain before. I would have rather been in labor with my daughter all over again. So for the Motrin to take away most of my pain I am very lucky having tried it for the first time. I am going to stick to using Motrin IB for any other problems I happen to get. I trust it. It is cheap, and it works.
You can find Motrin IB in any drug store, department store, or even super market. It is very well known and is very effective.
The only thing I did not like is how it wears off in 3 hours yet you can only take it every 4-6. But other then that Motrin IB is great
I would recommend this to all above the age of 12.
