Pros: will sometimes work if taken at onset of migraine, reasonable price
Cons: will not work if you already have a full blown migraine
The Bottom Line: I honestly wouldn't recommend it for a migraine, unless it was taken at the onset, I'd be more likely to recommend it for a regular headache

| catladyfromnpt's Full Review: Motrin Migraine Pain |
I was diagnosed with migraines about 10 years ago, but have had bad headaches since I was a teenager, I've tried everything from simple tylenol to narcotics, nothing really worked, and I learned to live with the pain. Once I was diagnosed, I tried prescription after prescription, some would work for a short time, others longer.
One thing I would always do is take ibuprofen as well, the combination of the two drugs would make the pain bearable, when the Motrin IB came out, I gave it a try, the first time I tried it, I was out of the pills the doctor had prescribed and thought I'd just try this "great new pill"
It DID lessen the pain, but not very much, its main ingredients are caffeine and ibuprofen, which I can get in a simple store brand.
Another time I felt a migraine coming on and took 2 of these and it did make a difference, but I wouldn't recommend it for a full blown migraine.
Motrin IB comes in tablet, caplet or gelcap form, in bottles of 24,50 or 100
