Today I got a splitting headache and decided to try the Motrin for Migraine medicine that I had recently ordered from Drug Store. Com,
they always have good sales on drugs where you can get most anything that you can buy at a drug store and get 1/2 off.
This was one of the things that I purchased and I got to give it a try today. I am happy to say that it worked and it worked well. My headache was gone within 15 minutes. It started off as a eye migraine and then went into a pain headache.
What I like about Motrin for Migraine: I like the fact that the pills are small enough that I do not have trouble taking them. They are in a coated type capsule but are not the large gel type size. So they are nice for people that have a hard time taking pills. That would be me. If pills are too large I have to chew them and most of them are yucky. These are not the type that you could chew.
The box I got has 50 coated caplets in it. The box sez new Motrin Migrain Pain Reliever on it. It is actually the same ingredients as the Motrin IB that was formerly sold. Just like Excederin, the Federal Drug Administration has made it manditory for companies that sell medications that are suppose to be used to treat Migraines with the wording for Migraines on the box. This is good for at least one reason that I can think of. Most people that get Migraines would not think that a over the counter drug would work in the treatment of a Migraine. However , it seems if you catch them in time , these do.
There are plenty of warnings on the box as there are on every pain reliever. Some of those listed on this are the following: Keep Out of the Reach of Children, in case of overdose contact poison control.
Do not take more then 2 tablets in a 24 hour period, unless directed by a doctor.
Another thing that I like about this and it may not be important to a lot of you. Is the fact that you can read the directions on the box. Most companies make the print so small it is impossible to read. This is not the case of the Motrin for Migraine Pain Reliever. I can read it very clearly with my glasses on. There is nothing more frustrating then getting medication and then not being able to read the directions or the ingredients in it.
The active ingredients in Motrin for Migraine Pain Reliever are: Ibuprofen 200mg. The inactive ingredients are: Carbauba wax, corn starch, hydroxypropyl, methylcellulose, iron oxide black. There are a few other inactive ingredients in here also.
If you have any type of allergy or are taking other medications that are prescribed by your doctor you should always consult your doctor before taking any over the counter medication.
With this medication since it is the same ingredients as Motrin IB, if you can get the other on sale then go for it. It is the same thing. The writing on the box is different only because the FDA requires it to be.
I would highly recommend this for anyone that has a bad headache. It works, it worked for me today.
