Pros:Great taste. Lower carbonation. Easy to access.
Cons:Too much caffeine, can lead to caffeine addiction, carbs are very high
The Bottom Line: I love Mountain Dew but I need to realize that it is like a dessert and I need to consume it in moderation.
The Downward Spiral

I love Mountain Dew, I admit it. In fact, I love Mountain Dew a little too much. It all began my Freshman year of college. Before that, I had been a Sprite drinker. Once in college, on my own, with lots of work and partying to do and very little sleep, Mountain Dew became my choice of beverage. (I guess it could have been a lot worse!) It started in the college cafeteria. They had self serve soda dispensers. You could bring your own cup and load up for free. The caffeine in the Dew gave me just the lift I needed.
Mountain Dew has a unique taste. It is a light taste sort of with a slight lemon lime edge. It
Has the unique ability to really quench your thirst when you are really thirsty. It is carbonated but not overly like some cola products. It is made by Pepsi.
The Low Dow on Dew
Since my college days, I have had a serious relationship with Mountain Dew. I usually drink over a liter a day. This is very unhealthy and I would not recommend this for anyone else.
The 1 liter bottle contains:
4 Servings per container @ 8 ounces per serving
Each serving contains:
Fat: 0 grams
Sodium: 50 milligrams
Total Carbohydrates: 31 grams
Sugars: 31 grams
Protein: 0 grams
Caffeine: 37 grams
Caffeine is a stimulant. People who consume it daily may become dependent on it. If they do not consume it, they may develop headaches, stomaches, and sleepiness. It is best to limit caffeine consumption.
I think that Mountain Dew is the best soft drink on the market in terms of test. But the amount of caffeine makes it hard not to get addicted. If you are going to consume it, limit it to 1 8 ounce can a day. That is definitely the healthier way to do it. I will be lowering my consumption immediately
