I almost bought a TNF Cat's Meow, but after reading stories about the loft not holding up after compressing the bag, I deceided not to. I liked the 'expander' feature of this bag because it allows me to get snug if it's really cold, or have more room to wiggle (by unzipping the expander baffle). Other bags require that you buy an extra piece that zips onto the bag, if they even have that feature. I have stuffed, restuffed, compressed and recompressed this bag and there appears to be no ill effects on the loft of the bag. This is the first Mountain Hardware item I have purchased, but it will likely not be my last. With a sleeping bag liner I can go down to about 8 degrees and sleep comfortably.
