I purchased this bag two years ago and it has been on more trips than I have. Everytime someone goes on a trip they ask if they can borrow this bag because it is so great.
The bag is light enough to use a backpacking bag (although the stuff sack provided doesn't allow the bag to be stuffed small enough) and is warm enough to be used in the late fall and early spring. I recommend getting a long bag unless you are 5'6" or smaller because the bag tends to taper a little too much at the bottom.
The zipper has a thick and full baffle on the inside so you never feel the cool air sneaking in through the zipper. The zipper is a heavy duty YK zipper and can be opened at the feet to let your tootsies breathe while keeping the upper part of the bag zipped.
The hood is big enough so that you do not feel claustrophobic but small enough that it can cinch up around you to keep you warm. Another cool feature is that Mountain Hardware includes a bug net stuffed in the top part of the bag. This is also a great place to put your wallet or flashlight.
The Polarguard 3D insulation works great even when wet. Be sure to store the bag in the large storage bag provided so that the insulation doesn't become compressed and lose some of it insulating value.
One last tip: If you plan on buying two bags to zip together be sure to get a Left and a Right zipped one or they will not zip together.
