Your House Will Sound Like a Barnyard!

The Bottom Line: Lots of animal noises makes for lots of read-aloud fun!
This Seussian classic introduces children to the wonderful world of animal sounds. Mr. Brown is a very talented man who can make all sorts of animal noises. As the narrator glowingly expands upon Mr. Brown's abilities, he encourages the reader to imitate him. "Mr. Brown can moo, can you?"
This book is a delightful read for both parent and child. You will have fun making the animal noises, and your child will be thrilled to hear you make them. And, of course, he will be duly inspired to follow suit. By the time the book is over, your child may feel like a regular ol' Dr. Doolittle.
Most of the animals that immediately spring to mind are included in this book, from pig to dog to duck. The simple rhymes and repetition make this a book which could be easily read by many preschoolers, but chances are they'll ask you to read it again and again. So oblige them, and happy mooing!
