I purchased mine at walmart-online and it was LOUD!!! After a few cups of espresso, I realized I had an extra part that had no description on the manual, later I come to find out that it was a part that had broken off. I went to a local walmart and replaced it, I opened the box to take the manual out and to make sure it was in good condition and guess what I found, yup, the same part-opposite side was also broken, I could not believe my eyes. What are the odds??? I went for the last one they had available (it was close to christmas so stock was low). The last one (my current one) was fine for a couple of months and guess what, It eventually broke off, same part as the first. It is a fairly noisy machine and the steamer squirts too much water into your milk before actually steaming. I cant complain much because it does make decent cappuccino and I dont have to drive out to make it. I would recommend it for the price but beware, it will start to fall apart eventually. One piece of advice, dont remove the handle that holds the coffee grounds until after you hear the steam being released, I did it and it splattered all the grounds everywhere.
