In December I was sick with a severe case of bronchitis that almost went into pneumonia. I couldn't seem to get over it, every time I thought I was better, the coughing would emerge full spectrum the next day. My doctor had me on several medications before advising me to take Mucinex DM Expectorant and Cough Suppressant.
The Product and Packaging
Mucinex DM Expectorant and Cough Suppressant comes in a tablet form. The bottle I purchased contained 40 tablets and was priced at about $22.95. By the way, this drug is usually kept behind the counter at most pharmacies because of the ingredient guaifenesin. So if you do not see it on the shelf ask your pharmacist!
Mucinex DM Expectorant and Cough Suppressant tablets are a medium size. I didn't have any trouble swallowing them. They are an extended release tablet that gives you relief for up to 12 hours. Dosage is up to 2 tablets every 12 hours with a full glass of water.
Mucinex DM Expectorant and Cough Suppressant is used for bronchial conditions to help loosen phlegm in your chest and also make coughing more productive.
How It Worked
Mucinex DM Expectorant and Cough Suppressant worked very well with the chest congestion. It did help loosen phlegm and therefore, relieve the tightness in my chest. I can't say that it did a whole lot with suppressing the cough but it did help. I was eating cough drops like candy for a good 3-4 weeks during this time.

Guaifenesin 600 mg.

Not to be used for children under the age of 12. Do not use if taking prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor or for 2 weeks after taking such drugs.
Ask a doctor first if you have a persistent cough associated with smoking, asthma, emphysema or chronic bronchitis or if cough is accompanied by excessive mucus.
How This Worked For Me
Mucinex DM Expectorant and Cough Suppressant helped relieve tightness in my chest and also helped suppress my constant coughing. It was long lasting and helped me to get sleep at night. Before I started taking this I was sitting up most of the night because I was coughing so much my husband couldn't get any sleep. I was pleased with the way this product worked for me and I didn't suffer from any side effects like some medications have a tendency to do.
