First of all I found a lot of conflicting information in your review. This product is not a cough suppressent. From the package: "Helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions to rid the bronchial passageways of bothersome mucus and make coughs more productive."
Also, you stated that directions say to let this melt in your mouth. Directions state: " * Do not crush, chew, or break tablet.
* Take with a full glass of water.
* This product can be administered without regard for the timing of meals."
It is very important that you dring lots of water when taking this medication. This helps to loosen the phlem. That could be why it did not work for you.
If you update and add more product details, I would be happy to take another look.
