kld718's Full Review: Munchkin Deluxe Dishwasher Basket
A few months ago, I was asked by a friend to help organize a baby shower for another girlfriend. I was happy to oblige, but then I soon got wrapped up in the planning that realized that I myself had not bought any gifts for the mom-to-be. I immediately rectified the situation and headed to Target where the expectant mom was registered.
This was actually two baskets in one. The bottom part of the basket is blue nylon mesh with a flip-top opening that can be used for various things (bottles, silverware, pacifiers). The flip-top is actually a white nylon mesh rack that holds the bottle nipples securely on top without moving around everywhere when being washed. There are a few small rounded circles on top of the basket for the nipples to poke through for washing.
The Munchkin Healthflow Deluxe Dishwasher Basket is made of a smooth super strong rust proof nylon. The top part of the basket easily folds open for easier access to the items in the bottom part of the basket. It also locks securely in place for dishwasher use.
The basket is so easy to use. You simply place the bottle nipples upright in the top basket and lock it securely in place before opening the bottom part of the basket. You can then fill the bottom with the small baby items or bottles. Then lock the basket all together and place entire basket on the top rack of the dishwasher.
Of course you shouldn’t put items in the basket that are not dishwasher safe. That’s an obvious warning. This product is not a toy and should be used for intended purpose only.

Cleaning small baby items in the dishwasher is so much easier with this Munchkin Healthflow Deluxe Dishwasher Basket. With her first child, my friend always complained about cleaning those small items by hand because she didn’t like the fact that they flew all over her dishwasher.
Now she can put them in the basket and not have to worry about them being found at the bottom of the dishwasher when the cycle is finished. And she also has the piece of mind that all of her babies’ things are sterilized and ready for immediate use. The nylon basket is also temperature resistant so that makes it a perfect candidate for the intense heat of a dishwasher.
The basket is so easy to use. I happened to be at her home a few times when she was using it, and I have to say that I did well in choosing the basket as part of her gift. The plastic top always shuts smoothly and stays closed throughout the dishwashers’ cycles. There was no worry that it would pop open and spill out all the contents in the bottom of the dishwasher. The basket fits easily in the top slide-out shelf of her dishwasher and doesn’t tend to move around much.
It isn’t so much that this basket is so easy to use, but it is definitely a convenience factor for a mother with a young child to watch out for. My friend doesn’t have to worry about spending so much time in the kitchen washing her babies things by hand. They can go right into the dishwasher and be done easily. She has more time to spend with her new baby and her older daughter instead.
So I would definitely recommend this Munchkin Healthflow Deluxe Dishwasher Basket. I bought it for about $5.99 at Target. It is cheap, easy to use, sturdy, and a convenient basket to use for a mother with not a lot of time on her hands.
