I have very sensitive skin--dry, but with breakouts that have been getting increasingly worse through my twenties. Though it took a few weeks, this kit, specifically the cleanser and treatment gel, has completely cleared up my skin. I had slowly progressed from perfect high school skin to true acne. Yet I still can't go without moisturizer at night.
The kit is a perfect way to try several Murad products at once. As another reviewer has commented, it may be necessary to determine which products you actually need based on your skin's type and maturity as well as the season. And note that it may take time for you to get past the purging process. It took about 3 weeks for me, but was well worth it. Give it a month, it's worth it!
The cleanser's menthol smell and slightly tingly feel is refreshing and yet gentle enough for my skin. The treatment gel allows me to spot treat trouble areas and helps reduce the red spots left behind after the pimple clears, which were all the more visible on my very, very pale skin.
I didn't find the sulfur-based spot treatment to be very effective, but there was enough in the kit to last me a year and it was a great way to sample the product. Between the gel and the cleanser, I haven't really had use for the spot treatment in the past two months!
I was specifically looking for a gentler method than Proactiv and benzoyl peroxide-based products and knew that my skin reacted well to salicylic acid, but I was still worried that the cleanser and gel would strip my skin and leave me scratching my face. I can't address how the Murad products would work for someone who needs more intense treatments, but it has done wonders for me!
