Very skeptical to try it, but seems to be working after 3 days.

Product Rating:
Pros: Helps to keep oily skin at bay, dries up zits, evens out skin tone.
Cons: Chemical smell, makes dry skin a bit itchy, skin a little red.
The Bottom Line: If you have oily skin and mild to moderate acne, I think this product could help you - especially if you have tried lots of other products!
emmajj's Full Review: Murad Acne Complex Starter Kit
I am 25 and have mild and sometimes moderate acne, I feel as if I always have at least 1-2 zits on my face - especially on my chin and forehead. I have always had an oily t-zone and never really developed acne until my 20's. I am obssesed with my skin and have tried everything. I started with your basic cheap drugstore over the counter creams, face washes, night treatments. Didn't work, just irritated my skin. I tried Proactive which made my skin worse (although I have oily skin - it is quite sensitive). I have tried expensive products at department stores, and finally broke down and saw a dermatologist. He put me on Tetraclycline for 6 months - still no real improvement. I am very sick of spending lots of money with no real results. I know I am lucky and do not suffer bad from acne, but it is annoying to have to deal with a zit on your face at any age!! The rest of my skin is really nice and clear but then I just will get a big huge zit so it sticks out so bad! I went and had a facial at a nice spa and she suggested I buy this expensive spa brand, it was nice on my skin but I still had a bad case of the "monthly's". I refuse to spend $100 a month on something that doesn't quite do the job. I was about to stick with it, when I came across the Murad Acne Complex kit. I figured I would give it a try since it was cheap and what do I have to lose really??! Then after reading some reviews I was a bit nervous that my skin would break out really bad. Especially with the whole "purging process" they describe. Not to mention I am sick of scam products. And I have to say I am on day 3 and my face is already kind of improving. I had a big zit that I had to pick the first day I tried Murad and it scabbed up and already fell off yesterday, so basically in 2 days. I used the kit as they suggest, and I only use the exfoliante (step 2) on my t-zone at night. I even did the face mask last night and then skipped step 2 and my skin feels less greasey and is evening out. I haven't had any new zits either. So far so good. My skin does feel a little tighter than usual but I think my sensitive skin just needs to get used to this product gradually. I love how my skin doesn't get as oily during the day either. I am not saying that this kit is "a miracle", but I do have to admit I like what it is doing so far. We'll see if I get the results I have wanted for years.
