Hes all right, my dad.
Thats the nominal lesson behind My Dad, which is less a straight story book, than a appreciation of the father figure in every childs life. Browne uses universal details (dad is dressed throughout in pajamas, slippers, and robe) as he details all the ways a child looks at his or her dad and decides Hes all right my dad.
Most readers would agree with this nicely illustrated, funny (dad eats like a horse, swims like a fish, and screws up when he tries to help), and relatively benign look at everybodys everyman: their Dad. Aqua Velva not included.
