What toddlers doesn't like flashlights! We found this to be a great gift because of the red and green colors. You can have change them by easily turning the knob on the side. We also like the colors red and green just like the traffic lights. She now know lets us know all the time that the light is green and we are to GO!
The 30 second shut off is okay, I wish it was a bit longer seeing she loves to dance in the dark with me spinning and changing the colors. There is a button you can push to turn it back on, it's under the handle and a on and off switch at the top of the handle.
This flashlight is light weight and durable. Battery holder can be accessed from the back and has a small screw that needs to be removed, once you remove the screw there is a small tab you push up on this allows the compartment to open. Takes 2 C batteries and if you pull the draw all the way out you can change the light bulb. One other nice feature it has grip bumps on the sides of the handle.
