It would be stupid NOT to buy this monitor.

Pros: Very affordable. Will not disappoint you in terms of picture quality.
Cons: Compared to a samsung monitor the same size, the picture is not quite as crisp.
The Bottom Line: We have 2 NEC monitors in my household and neither have ever had any problems. They are more than enough for an average computer user.

| stesie77's Full Review: NEC MultiSync LCD1545V 15 inch LCD Monitor |
About two years ago in the fall when all stores have the big after thangsgiving sale i bought a 14 inch MAGvision flat panel lcd monitor for 150 dollars. I set it up at home only to notice that it was merely impossible to look at the monitor from anywhere but directly in front of it. If i just moved a little to the side, the picture already darkened. Went back to best buy and returned it. Then drove over to staples and picked up this 15 inch NEC for only 50 dollars more.
This is the monitor im looking at right now. I have never had any problems with it and i can't think of a good enough reason to replace it. Of course this monitor is not as clear and crisp as a samsung one, but unless you are an extreme gamer or a graphics designer this is more than fine. And it only costs half as much as a samsung.
The image is bright and colorful and can be viewed from angles of up to 150 degrees. The picture quality and size can easily be auto-adjusted, saving you a lot of time with fitting the picture to the screen. The monitor was flawlessly recognized on 3 of my pcs and also my macintosh ibook on which the picture looks even better....
The monitor has one dead pixel on the right side of the screen which died about 3 weeks after i bought it. It doesn't bother me and i didn't feel like going through the process of replacing it.
