| treyshadow's Full Review: NEC Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 91 19 inch CRT Monitor |
I had finally come to the day when my 17" was not giving me enough real estate. I had just upgraded my pc and I wanted something better. I am a systems administrator and had become greatly accustomed to my dell 19" monitor that I had at work. Flat screen, nice color, great monitor. So I started hunting. I looked at the samsung's, I looked (alot) at the Viewsonic PF 790, and I looked at the iiyama models (though I really like the new iiyama A902MT), but the best product on the market by far was the Mitsubishi 900U. Well to my surprise mitsubishi released the Diamond plus 91 and the only it was missing was the usb hub in the back! Since I did not care for that feature, I thought it was great! I have had this monitor for about 7 months or more and have loved every minute of it. The best part by far is the fpm button on the front of the screen.
That little button was the ultimate selling point. I love the crispness in the corners since I telnet often. Programming is really easy on the eyes and games like quake 3, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 and sacrifice are fabulous. None the less, this is by far the best investment my pc has ever seen. I can kick this monitor up to 1600 x 1200 and not even flinch trying to see the small text!
If you have the money, then you should by this one. Your eyes will love you for it. I liked it so much I bought another and ran them off my Asus Dual-Head card for great programming and html action. Even if you are a casual computer user, this is a great investment, because you can have a monitor through several computers. Remember, their your eyes, and if you can find the space for this large monitor, then you should spend the money. Great buy!
