| tgajdjis's Full Review: NEC Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 91 19 inch CRT Monitor |
I have owned several Mitsubishi monitors. Previously, I bought the 900u. This monitor has excellent color and text, but very poor geometry. In spite of this, I figured that I would give the 91 a shot(thinking that maybe they fixed the geometry problem). The first unit arrived, and I plugged it in and let it run for 72 hours before adjustment. What I found was a bright display with sharp text. Unfortunately, the unit's display appeared to be curving upwards on the left side. Adjusting the tilt only made the display appear to sag in the middle. I called the company that sold me the unit, and they shipped out a second unit. This unit has perfect geometry, but guess what! The display is fuzzy on the left side, and this issue is not correctable with the OSD. I called Mitsubishi and asked for a supervisor. They said they would call me back. I'm still waiting... If you want this monitor, I would recommend it ONLY if you can try it BEFORE you walk out of the store with it. I have had three bad Mitsu's in a row, and have been left holding the bag for over $100 in shipping. If you get a good one, though, it really can't be beat. To date, I have not been able to resolve my issues, and have two monitors sitting on my desk.
