Pros:Plug and Play Install (most cases)
Secure connect feature
Cons:Issues connecting with windows 7
Cheaply plastic case
The Bottom Line: This product does work. However it may not be worth the frustration to set it up when you can buy a more user friendly version for less.
This product is in the mid quality range. It does service it's purpose after a minor setup headache, seeing as how there are limited to no setup instructions. I've had issues with this adapter on several PC's running windows 7. It seems to conflict with the existing wifi manager pre-installed with windows 7. This glitch causes issues and delays with connections. When the Netgear software finally installs and opens the wireless adapter will prompt you to set up a wireless network which it will began broadcasting by default. You will have to configure to scan for any wireless networks, save those networks and the wait a few minutes for the wireless adapter to get ready to connect. But once the Wifi adapter connected I had no issues with the signal dropping or fading, am able to pick up a buddies from 3 house down. It does have the secured connect feature that connects to wifi router with press of button. The plastic casing is a bit cheaply made. I cracked mine while it was plugged into my front usb port, by bumping into it with my elbow. Overall it is a working product. Just be prepared if using windows 7 that you make run into connection issue upon 1st time and reconnecting.
