The Neuton EM 4.1 & 5.1 are the best in electric mowers. For a small lawn, it can't be beat. My lawn is about 1/8 acre, which is the perfect size for a mower like this. $400 is the retail price. I paid $100 plus a used working gas mower. This is an annual offer from the Los Angeles AQMD. Here is the link for those of you in LA County: http://www.aqmd.gov/tao/lawnmower.html The quality of this mower is superb. Very well constructed. Excellent battery. Easy to push up-hill. Easy to unload the bag. Quality electronics. Visual look is impressive. All of my neighbors want one. We all have about the same size yards, built in 2006 and 2007. I'm still holding on to my brand new Troy-Bilt because I may put in a rear yard. If I do, that will be 1/4 acre in the back alone. Approaching 1/2 acre of lawn, I may prefer the gas propelled mower. The next logical step for Neuton is to manufacture a propelled electric mower. The current battery is heavy and expensive. A propelled version would require to at least double the amperage. That would be a big change in design. I bet that they're working on that now.
