Pros: great replay graphics, online capability, pretty realistic
Cons: poor sound, gameplay too fast
The Bottom Line: I feel that if your intention is to get a football game, you're better off going with Madden NFL 2003.

| renjay427's Full Review: NFL Fever 2003 for Xbox |
For Christmas, I wanted a sports game to play for my Xbox and I wanted the newest one out on the market. I looked around and found out that my best bet was to get NFL Fever 2003.
I brought it home and couldn't wait to open it up and play away. For my first game, I decided to do a little exhibition between the Giants and the Bengals, I was the Giants. I won the coin toss and decided to receive. Right away, I returned a kickoff for a touchdown on my first possession ever. From that point on, I ended up beating the Bengals about 56 - 7. Basically, the game isn't that challenging. For me, I like the computer to give me a little competition. It wasn't because I was playing the Bengals because I won a similar game with the similar score against the Eagles, Rams, and Raiders.
The actual gameplay was very fast. Sometimes, it didn't even seem realistic. The players, in my opinion, weren't created very well. In the game, David Carr, not one of the biggest guys in the game, seems like a beast on the field.
One of the good parts of the game was its features. One feature let you create you own team with one of its logos and nicknames already there. The player has the option to either keep the uniform as it is or change it to suit their preference. Also, the player can choose the city where they want their team to play in. The cities very from Cuba all the way to Italy. Lastly, the choose their stadium. They have all NFL stadiums plus some other neat ones like the Roman Collesium or the field where the Pro-bowl is played.
There are options to practice to get the techniques down. There is also an option to make your own playbook and then once it's done, the computer will simulate it against an actual defense.
All in all, this game isn't all what it's cracked out to be. It is way overated. If you would want a sports game that is great to play and just great all together, go for Madden or 2K3. Look over this one.
