To say this program is crap ould the the veritable understatment of the decade. MacSpeech worked well. Not without flaws mind you, but well. Now along comes this program. Although it seemed to work fairly well in PC mode, it simply will not work on a Mac. I was disappointed to learn that Dragon had purchased MacSpeech. Although not nearly as disappointed as I was after purchasing DragonDictate for Mac. The program crashes. Constantly. It does not learn from continued use, and does not increase its ability to recognize your voice. In fact, contrary to the sales pitch that I received prior to purchase, it does absolutely nothing that is supposed to. It did not work out of the box, but required a lengthy training period When compared to the original MacSpeech. Soon after initial use it began to add the word "and" to every sentence. No explanation was ever found from tech support. Their only advice was to uninstall and reinstall. Excuse me? This is a Mac not a PC. Macs don't have the same problems from garbage architecture that PCs have. Uninstalling and reinstalling, apart from having to spend 60 min. to retrain had absolutely no effect. It still crashed. Constantly. It still added odd words after sentences. It still is absolute rubbish. Avoid this program at all cost. Find an older version of MacSpeech and buy it. Don't allow the salespeople to talk you into an upgrade to their product.
