kparsons13's Full Review: Nads No Heat Hair Removal Gel
My fiancé and I have been together for quite some time now and pretty much know each other inside and out. There isnt anything I can really hide from him anymore as a woman. He notices everything. The one thing I didnt realize when we first started dating was the amount of hair that was on his body and not on his head. Now since the shaved head look is in right now and has been for a few years, it is difficult to tell whether the men are truly losing their hair or just in it for the style. So my way of finding out was mentioning that one of my brothers shaves his head and has been losing his hair since his early twenties. That is when I found out that this too was the case for my sweet fiancé.
I pose the question though: Why does it always seem like the Men that are losing their hair on their head seem to be making up for it in every area on their body? This was the case for my fiancé. He has always trimmed his body hair and shaved what he could on his back. He thinks it is disgusting and says that when we finally have money one day he will get his back and butt lasered. Yes, even the butt area has a few strands of hair. Nothing offensive but you still notice it as well.
So when we walked into the As Seen on TV store at our local mall almost two years ago, who would have known that we would be walking out with a box of the Deluxe Nads No Heat Hair Removal Gel package? Well we did and I was pretty excited to use it. The reason being is from the commercials and how easy they make things look. It was one of those and I remember this clearly, have you done it yet? and of course they had and supposedly it didnt hurt the man at all. So it seemed like the answer to my fiances back hair issue that he has had all his life.
When I got the box home, I opened it up. The Nads No Heat Hair Removal Deluxe Bonus Pack for $29.99 included:
Nads Kiwi Chamomile Smoothing Lotion in 2.5 oz
Easy to Follow Illustrated instruction booklet
Orange Stick
Spatula
Nads Kiwi Chamomile Prep Soap
5 Cloth Strips
Nads No Heat Hair Removal Gel
The instructions were pretty simple and basic. You cleanse your skin to remove any dirt on it, use the spatula to apply a thin layer of the Nads to my fiances back, take a cloth and put it over that area, and then rip off the cloth as you hold the skin tightly. That was basic and easy to understand. We followed the directions down to a T. We looked through the instruction manual before beginning and reading all cautions and tips. I was armed and ready to get started.
First of all when I dipped the spatula into the Nads No Heat Hair Removal Gel, it was extremely thick and sticky which was not a great sign. So since I had so much of it on the spatula I then attempted to rub it onto my fiances back in a larger area so that the gel didnt run out. It was difficult to rub onto the skin as it was sticking everywhere and wouldnt spread very well. I thought I was doing something wrong at first, but really it was just the way the product was. So after finally applying it, I got the cloth ready which by the way are maybe 7 long and 3 wide. I rubbed it into the Gel and firmly held his skin and went to rip it off. A LOUD SCREAM came into the air, with many curse words to follow. This wasnt a normal ouch scream. This was a blood curling SCREAM of pain as if you have been stuck with a knife.
My fiancé is not a woos and handles pain very well but this was too much for him. But he asked me to continue and we did and pretty much got his back done. The hair was coming up but not all of the hair. You would have to reapply to the same area twice to get it all up. It is extremely painful as well. I tried my legs and my bikini line and that was enough for me. No More! After all was finished with my fiancé, I put on the Nads Kiwi Chamomile Smoothing Lotion which pretty much did nothing. It was a BUST! It worked somewhat but it was down right painful when it did. Nads wasnt anything like that TV infomercial at all. We had been duped and mislead by the As Seen on TV store and this so called Hair Removal System.
What was Nads Claim anyways? Well here is what I took from the packaging:
1) Safe to use
2) 100% natural
3) no heating
4) easy to use
5) ready to use
6) washes away with water
7) melts with your own body heat
Regardless of all these claims, it was not easy to use, and it did not melt with my body heat nor my fiancé who is like a heater in the winter. We had been ripped off literally. I havent used the Nads No Heat Hair Removal Gel since we had both tried it that day. The box and all its contents still remain in the drawer. For whatever reason I didnt throw it out.
Nads No Heat Hair Removal Gel Has the following ingredients:
Honey, fructose, vinegar, molasses, glucose, water, concentrated lemon juice, alcohol, and food dye. Not animal tested.
My suggestion is to just shave off the excess hair that you arent interested in seeing. I shave my fiances back once every two weeks which isnt painful at all. I do not recommend running out to the store and purchasing Nads as it will truly cause you downright hurtful physical pain. We learned our lesson pretty quickly. Maybe now I can have closure on this and finally throw the box away.
