I bought Nair Moisturizing Face Cream Hair Remover at CVS. It is available at all local drugstores and online. I bought the 2oz. bottle and paid $3.75. When I got home, I read the directions and warning carefully. I made sure my face was completely clean and devoid of any makeup. I like the fact that the bottle stands "upside down", if you will, meaning you don't have to squeeze product out from the top, but rather the bottom, ensuring the product will always flow downward toward the opening. You flip open the cap and see a pink colored cream. Although the product contains sweet almond oil and fragrance, there is no escaping that awful, hair-removal smell. Yuck.
I applied the product with my index finger to my face; cheeks, upper lip area, and chin. I would have preferred a brush to apply the product, as your fingers get all sticky and you definitely do need to wash your hands afterwards. I did not remove the product after 5 minutes, but instead opted to wait for the maximum time allowed: 10 minutes. I looked pretty darn funny with a full pink mustache and beard. It's times like this you pray no one rings your doorbell! When my timer went off, I used a warm, wet facecloth, and smoothed away the cream. I then immediately rinsed any remaining product with many, many splashes of water.
I did a thorough check for hair removal, and although overall it did a pretty good job, I noticed some hair breakage. I had to remove this stubble with tweezers. My face also turned red, and that lasted for about an hour or so. Mind you, I have sensitive skin. I would not suggest putting on any serums, creams, or lotions of any kind immediately afterwards. I did use a serum about two hours later and my skin was fine. I did notice much later that night my skin still had that hair-removal smell, despite my many splashes of water after use.
Nair Moisturizing Face Cream Hair Remover kept my face hair free for almost two weeks. During that time, my skin was very soft, and serums and other products just soaked right in beautifully. I did not break out at all or have any irritation of any kind. I do believe, however, the directions and warning are to be read (and paid attention to) carefully.
