Pros: Awesome, simple, no side effects, not a "drug"
Cons: Start up period, but only a minor hassle.
The Bottom Line: Give it a try, it works on my severe allergies.

| patrickdotryan's Full Review: NasalCrom |
For a long time allergy sufferer, this really is a magic bullet and I have now used it for about 3 years. Before that, Ie had spring and other allergies since I was a kid, often so severe that I have had green goop pouring out of my eyes and sticking them together when I slept. Over the years I've tried everything with varying results, but most things that work have strong side effects (such as Dayquil, Benadryl, Nyquil, Pseudoephedrine etc.). I was resigned to either suffering bad allergies or putting up with side effects of the things supposed to treat them. NasalCrom is very simple. It apparently blocks the allergy receptors in your nose mechanically, so no drug really enters your system. Thus, no side effects - other than a tingly feeling when you spray it. I would guess that the people who feel it doesn't work have tried the "instant gratification" method and not used it for a week or two to get it fully working. However, once you do that, you can use it for months and in some cases just every few days just to "top up" your resistance. And if you feel that you're getting symptoms, you just up the dose to a few times a day and then back off once you're on top of it again. Magic!
