Pros: Guides tell you about the homes, places to eat, and places to stay.
Cons: none
The Bottom Line: In mid October, Natchez has a hot air balloon race with a music festival. Have a Knock you naked margarita at fat mama's and ride the carriage tour.

| guy2co's Full Review: Natchez, Mississippi |
Natchez is a great place to visit. For some, it may seem a little to slow, but that's how it's meant to be. If you want to relax, this is the place to go. One pointer to have the best vacation ever, take your watch off and don't worry about time. The horse carriage tour offers a view of Natchez that you can't get anywhere else. The relaxing slow trot of the horse walking along while your guide tells stories and history of the antebellum houses as you pass along. The guides tell you about places to eat, stay, and visit while you are in town. Each horse has it's own charming personallity. The tour guides give a 40 to 45 minute tour. The price is $15 for adults and $5 for kids under 11. Tickets may be purchased at the visitors center or pay the drivers after the tour. Most guides won't even let you pay before the tour that way you get a kind of money back garantee. The tours start at the old train depot on the corner of canal and state st.. Tours start at 8:30 in the morning and stop after dark. It 's highly recommend to take the night tour, which is lit up by the lanterns on the carriage and the old gas lamps on the homes along with beautiful lighting in the stained glass windows. This is truly the way to see Natchez!
