Clinton agrees with you, that this world would be much better if those 3 deaths hadn't happened. You'll enjoy his book that I reviewed. :-)

I agree with you that this museum is wonderful. I thought it was really moving. I was amazed at how much I learned there. When I went to Memphis that was the thing I enjoyed more than anything else even going to Graceland.
Take Care,
Wendy :-)

I have never heard of this memorial either (and I'm from Montgomery!) That's interesting that the Rosa Parks bus is there. We have a street named after her here and also a Civil Rights memorial building downtown. The little church where MLK used to preach is also downtown amidst all the big state buildings that have sprung up around it.
I enjoyed reading your very informative review.

Thanks and I agree. I was surprised that I hadn't come across any tributes to him like this in other places (though there may be -I just don't know of them). He graduated from Boston University (my "hometown") and there is a sculpture dedicated in his memory. The good ones-no the great ones, I'm sorry to say, were taken away from us. jo

This trip started in Cincinnati but we saw family rather than sites. I wonder if it was there in May. I would have liked to see that. There is just too much of this amazing country! Thanks for r/r/c..jo

I really wanna check this place out now; Martin Luther King Jr. is one of the greatest men who ever lived and a place dedicated to him and the way you descibed it, makes me wanna jet right over. Nice review!

Thanks for the great review. I had heard that the motel was to be an historic landmark but didn't know about the museum. I just read that an "Underground Railroad" museum has opened in Cincinnati. If an epinion member sees it I'd love to hear their reviews.

Wonderful review, as always (Reply to this comment)

I had never heard of this museum until this review. Isn't that sad? The Civil Rights movement was (and still is) one of the most important events in our history and only baby boomers and older folks can remember much about it. Your review might help change that. Thanks.
